Treya Allen

Education and Diversity Advisory Board

Dr. Treya Allen serves as the Coordinator for DEI Faculty Support in the Office of General Education at the University of Arizona. She is committed to the empowerment of and access for all students. Dr. Allen is a proud first-generation undergrad and graduate student. As a triple alumna of Northern Arizona, Dr. Allen completed a B.A. in Liberal Studies- Sociology, an M.Ed. in Human Relations Counseling and Ed.D. in Education Leadership. Her research centers on Black education in the US Southwest, Black women and girls in education, and the creation of African American Studies programs. Her favorite place is in the middle of a book stack in any book collection, library, or bookstore in the world.
