Deepa Bhuvanagiri is a Computer Science PhD student at Case Western Reserve University. She is conducting research in the Solar Durability Lifetime Extension lab (SDLE)  under the guidance of Dr. Roger French. Deepa’s current research is centered on applying data science and analytics methodologies to problems in the geospatial domain. Her past work includes building temperature maps of the shallow subsurface of the continental United States for degradation assessments.

Deepa's passion is in the intersection between human centered problems and data science as evident in her research which ranges from topics in human behavior to environmental problems. She is a founding member of the CASFER Student Leadership Council, and currently she serves as the SLC Treasurer.
