Dr. Delia Saenz is the inaugural Chief Diversity Officer & Vice Chancellor for Equity, Justice, & Inclusive Excellence at UC Merced. She is a social psychologist by training and her research spans the areas of organizational effectiveness, diversity in groups, social identity, and broadening participation in STEM. In addition to her current role at UC Merced, Dr. Saenz has held faculty and administrative appointments at the University of Notre Dame, Arizona State University, and Bennington College.  She is an award-winning teacher, accomplished leader in both academic and professional societies, and has served as director for culture of inclusion in multiple NSF-funded ERC's.
