CFEAL Program
CASFER Future Engineering Academic Leaders
The CASFER Future Engineering Academic Leaders Scholars Program (CFEAL) provides selected CASFER doctoral students with intentional experiences to develop leadership skills while pursuing knowledge, discovery, and cultural convergence to become future leaders in Academia or Industry.
CFEAL is a 3-year program that requires participants to attend monthly hands-on activities offered in hybrid mode, some online, some in person, providing access to a leadership mentor, career coaching and more.

Develop skills for personal and professional success, including effective communication, the business of academic and industry partners, conflict management and negotiation, leadership and career development, and access to industry mentors

Develop a broader vision of your role in the university and in industry
Create a Network
Become part of an active resource network of academic and industry professionals
Design a Leadership Project
Design and develop a leadership project proposal (of cultural convergence) during the first two years (with professional coaching and feedback),with project implementation during year 3 with up to a $3000 budget
How to Apply
Participant Requirements
Candidates need to be doctoral students with preference to those in their first or second year (need to have at least 3 more years to go before graduation, 2 for the program activities, 1 to implement their leadership project and become mentors of the next cohort).
