Convergence Research Seminar Series: Cele Stone, Director of Strategic Partnerships & Innovation at CASFER (TTU)

Cele Stone will discuss the NABC method (Need, Approach, Benefits, Competition) and how it is used to effectively pitch an idea. This method has its roots in the start-up and venture capital world. However, it is an effective way to transform a research proposal into a funded project. Since CASFER researchers will be required to prepare their pitch with the NABC Method, this seminar will provide the necessary steps to creating and delivering a "Perfect Pitch."

Cele Stone founded her first agricultural company at age 27 and continues her entrepreneurial adventures with her husband, Evan. She serves as an iTTU Mentor, advising and integrating strategies for innovation within early-stage startups while leading efforts to help improve capacity for profitability and business growth. She has deep experience in building long lasting connections, bridging operational and engagement gaps between academic institutions and business communities by supporting their growth objectives and matching their needs with the appropriate educational opportunities.
