Welcome, Dr. Behnaz Jafari!

We would like to welcome Dr. Behnaz Jafari to the CASFER Team! You may recognize Behnaz as our former Student Leadership Council president, and we are excited that Behnaz has chosen to remain a part of CASFER as a post-doc after the completion of her doctorate! Behnaz Jafari successfully completed her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University in October. Her current research aims to advance membrane technology through the utilization of graphene materials for nitrogen recovery. Additionally, she works on the modification of the ion exchange process for nutrient recovery from wastewater. Behnaz has an extensive background in electrochemical engineering, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, and multifunctional fabrics. She is committed to supporting CASFER in finding innovative solutions to transform nitrogen cycle pollution into nitrogen circular economy. We are so very excited to welcome her to the CASFER Team (again)! We know we will do great things together!
