An acronym that is frequently encountered in the CASFER system is "EWD", which stands for Engineering Workforce Development. At CASFER, our Engineering Workforce Development is one of the main branches of CASFER, which deals with education and training programs to further develop the the next generation of engineers and technical workforce with skills set at the intersection of engineering, agricultural sciences, and environmental science. CASFER EWD focuses on the development of technical sills, baseline skills, and soft skills to provide a well-rounded skill set for the next generation of the NCE workforce.
