Perennial Pastures

Perennial pastures are grazing fields planted with grasses and legumes that live for several years and regrow after grazing or cutting. Perennial pastures rely on symbiotic soil bacteria called Rhizobia to naturally convert atmospheric nitrogen into a usable organic form which reduces the need for synthetic nitrogen inputs and lowers nitrous oxide emissions. CASFER extends this same sustainability principle by recovering reactive nitrogen from waste water and converting it into precise, bio-based nitrogen fertilizer.
