CCR Seminar: Outreach and Workforce Development, There is a Role for Everyone

Abstract: CASFER has been engaged in a wide range of outreach and community engagement activities, including undergraduate research, K-12 teacher programs, science fairs, and seminar presentations directly in K-12 schools. These activities are a very important part of our Center because it has direct impact on society and helps in student recruiting. These efforts work best when everyone contributes, even just a little bit. Involvement in our outreach efforts benefits CASFER members in addition to the community. The outreach activities are fun, educational, and make a big impact. It is not hard to get involved and we need your help. In this seminar, we will tell you about the existing efforts and how you can get involved. If everyone does a little bit, the total impact will be enormous.
