Dr. Spott is director of the STEM Center for Outreach, Research & Education (STEM CORE) at Texas Tech University. STEM CORE serves as a liaison between the community, faculty and all-levels of students within STEM. Her background is in educational psychology, Spanish and communications.

 

In her role as STEM CORE Director, she is deeply involved in hosting programs that integrate and support women and minorities within STEM disciplines. She also has worked with outreach coordination and funded program management, specifically with undergraduate researchers. In addition, she serves on the STEM Advisory Board for the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program at Lubbock ISD.
