CASFER strives to create an Innovation Ecosystem, which seeks to embody a two-way knowledge exchange built upon creating, championing, and cultivating.

The Innovation Ecosystem of CASFER operates via a membership model. This membership model houses multiple tiers to ensure broad participation by government and regulatory or policy bodies, small businesses, and corporations. 

CASFER's Innovation Ecosystem allows for interactivity amongst CASFER scholars, companies, government entities, industry partners, etc.

Land Betterment Corporation, an Indiana Benefit Corporation and Pending B-Corp, is an environmental solutions company focused on fostering a positive impact through upcycling former industrial and impacted sites to create sustainable community development and job creation. The Company utilizes a complete solution-based lifecycle program to restore and rehabilitate the environment and revitalize communities in need of change and opportunity. Land Betterment accomplishes this by identifying un-reclaimed, run-down and neglected industrial sites, fixing the environment through reclamation and remediation, and then repurposing the land to support a sustainable business that serves the community. It's easy.


South Plains Compost, Inc. the parent company of Back to Nature, Inc., has been producing agricultural compost since 1979.  In 1982, they began supplying bagged cotton burr composts and blends to the lawn and garden industry.  They then introduced their own brand of quality cotton burr composts and blends under the Back to Nature, Inc. label. Today, Back to Nature, Inc. Cotton Burr Composts and Blends are preferred by independent lawn and garden dealers everywhere because of their continuing dedication to quality and service. Back to Nature, Inc. continues to show support for higher standards throughout the composting industry as a voluntary member of the United States Composting Council’s Seal of Testing Assurance program.


Royalty Management Corporation is a royalty company building shareholder value to benefit both their shareholders and communities by acquiring and developing high value assets in a sustainable market environment. Their model is to acquire and structure cashflow streams around assets that can support the communities by monetizing the assets with a future focus. 


Novusterra Inc. is developing application specific products utilizing carbon nanostructures and graphene from carbon based waste streams. They are targeting products that will feed into concrete, water filtration and battery storage by developing cost effective solutions tailored to each market. Their patents were designed to make use of an abundant and low cost feedstock (coal) in an environmentally friendly process.

EviroTECH LLC is dedicated to the development of transformational technologies to combat infections and virus transmitted diseases. Our approach integrates electrochemical technology and biomedical engineering. EviroTECH was established with the purpose of commercializing the UFC19 and its applications to other viruses and bacteria.

Lathem Farms, in conjunction with Ribbonwire Ranch, are family owned and operated entities situated in the northern part of the legendary XIT Ranch in the Texas Panhandle. They are considered a true working cattle ranch guided by their deep roots in the past and clear vision of land conservation, animal health, and providing top quality products. Lathem grows organic feed for their vertically integrated beef-to-box cattle operation including corn, alfalfa, and wheat for grazing. They also grow organic, food-grade corn, cotton, and many other commodities.
