Angela Avendano
Associate Director of Administration & Finance
Angela Avendano serves as the Associate Director of Administration and Finance for the Institute of Sustainability and Circular Economy (ISCE) and the NSF-funded CASFER Engineering Research Center at Texas Tech University. She brings over a decade of experience in human resources, financial operations, and organizational leadership across academic, nonprofit, and public sector environments.
In her role, Angela oversees administrative strategy, HR operations, and financial reporting, supporting a dynamic, multi-university research initiative that includes partners such as MIT and Virginia Tech. She is deeply committed to building transparent systems, enabling data-driven decision-making, and aligning operational excellence with the center’s research mission.
Angela holds a master’s in human resources and has completed her degrees at NYU and Stony Brook University. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate certificate in Data Business Analytics from UT Austin to further strengthen her ability to support complex, research-driven environments with innovation, insight, and integrity.
