Feliza Mercado
EWD Program Manager
Feliza Mercado, EdD, is the Program Manager for Education and Workforce Development at CASFER, where she leads the design and implementation of initiatives that bridge emerging technologies with educational practice. She earned her doctorate in Instructional Technology from Texas Tech University in 2025. Her scholarly work focuses on cultivating social presence in online learning environments and leveraging social media for professional development.
In her role at CASFER, Dr. Mercado directs the strategic integration of emerging technologies to support the center’s mission of educational outreach and community engagement. Prior to stepping into her current position, she served as a CASFER research assistant and remains an active participant in the CASFER CFEAL Leadership Program.
Dr. Mercado is dedicated to applying her expertise in instructional design and educational technology to advance academic growth and foster professional success for the students and communities she serves.
