Odemari Mbuya

Testbeds Lead & Co-PI

Dr. Mbuya is a professor of agricultural sciences at Florida A&M University and a courtesy professor at the University of Florida-Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS). He is director of the Center for Water Resources, director of Florida Climate Institute at FAMU and Program Leader of Agronomy, Soil and Water Sciences. He also serves as Faculty Director of FAMU’s Sustainability Institute. He has been a consultant and volunteer representing the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and FAMU in South Africa and a delegate of Institutions of Higher Learning from the United States to the Netherlands.

 

At FAMU, he leads the faculty effort in integrating all concepts of sustainability in innovative research and teaching. His research interests include water resources, watersheds, nutrient and water management, phytoremediation, and crop and watershed modeling.
